Best of MVM-supported cultural programs in 2023
10. 25. 2023
As 2023 got underway, a wide range of cultural programs opened up again as a result of MVM's support. The new season of MVM Concerts 2023 opened on the 25th of January 2023 with a piano recital by Gergely Bogányi at MÜPA (Palace of Arts Budapest). Then, in early spring, from March onwards, a series of excellent concerts followed, with pianist Grigory Sokolov taking to the stage at MÜPA, continuing the series of concerts. This year a total of thirty-three classical music concerts will be offered. February also saw the launch of the Cziffra Festival, another long-standing MVM tradition. In addition to European classical music concerts, there were also some truly unique performances, such as the "Encounter of Music and Science" evening in March, where Dr. Tamás Freund, Széchenyi Prize-winning brain researcher, and János Balázs, Kossuth Prize-winning pianist, explained - using the language of science and music – how these two worlds are interconnected. All the year, the Opera House invites young people to MVM OperaKaland (MVM Opera Adventure) and MVM Piccolo programs. Exceptional performances such as "Don Quixote", "Stephen the King", "Swan Lake" and "The Bell" will be staged. It's almost impossible to choose from this year's abundant selection. MVM is delighted to support these excellent performances. The said student performances are accessible to visitors from all over the country, who can buy tickets for a nominal fee, allowing the program to reach out to not only the audiences in the capital but nationwide, including local communities. . MVM aims to introduce the young generation to the genres of opera and ballet and to make them enjoy these.
