MVM Group’s purchase agreement with E.ON Group signed on 16 December 2024 − for the acquisition of the 68% stake in E.ON Energie Romania and 98% stake in E.ON Asist Complet − will terminate today by mutual agreement.
MVM regrets that the Romanian government does not support the transaction, despite the fact that the contracting parties cooperated with the Romanian government and authorities in every way.
MVM remains committed to the portfolio diversification and international expansion set out in its strategy. As the eighth largest group in Central and Eastern Europe it continues to prioritize regional business opportunities. MVM intends to further strengthen the region’s security of supply through its regional expansion.
MVM Group continues to work on becoming a regional “hub” in most of the areas of the energy industry in addition to natural gas trading.
